Jinkai Zheng is a chief scientist in the Fruits and Vegetables innovation team of CAAS. He has taken part in 18 significant projects in China and abroad (e.g., NIH, AICR, USDA, national 863, NSFC). In the past several years, he has published more than 50 SCI-cited papers (such as Organic Letters, TrAC-Trends in Analytical Chemistry, Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety, Analyst, Talanta, JAFC and so on) with the total impact factor of 150. In 2015, he was selected in the ‘Elite Youth Program’ of MOA.
His research interest is mainly focused on the chemistry and biology of bioactive components from fruits and vegetables. Meanwhile, he is also concerned about the development and application of the most advanced and innovative analytical techniques (e.g., surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy and their combined techniques) in detecting bioactive components rapidly and non-destructively.
